Definition of

Blocks

Blocks are files that record and store valid transactions added to the blockchain. They can be compared to individual pages of a company ledger where relevant information to a particular transaction is notated for everyone's reference. Each block contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block that links it to the new block, timestamp and recent transactions.
