Miner
A Miner is an individual who uses computers with high computing capabilities to execute tasks in exchange for coins or cryptoassets. These tasks may include solving complex mathematical equations or verifying transactions and logging them on a universal ledger in the blockchain. Once a miner completes a task and presents a proof-of-work for a particular block, the transactions included in the block are tagged as "confirmed" and all assets involved are considered good to use.
